interest.
Ackerland Bière Spéciale - 5.9% alc/vol View Label 7 Kb
Comments - Ackerland is a region of the Hochfelden that produces hops.
Tasting Notes - Good, interesting taste with an excellent finish. There are strong elements of distinctive hop and malt
throughout with the added attraction of an unusual butteriness.
Bière de Mars - 5.1% alc/vol View
Label 10 Kb
Tasting Notes - A good texture and very full tasting toffee/caramel malt based beer with plenty of interest and a strange,
distinctive perfumed hop quality which helps it stand out from the Bière de Mars crowd.
Bière de Noël - 5.8% alc/vol View
Label 8 Kb
Tasting Notes - Aromatised with orange. Not really what you would expect from a Christmas beer however, it is certainly
different, fairly full tasting and a pleasant drink.
Blanche de Meteor - 5% alc/vol
Tasting Notes - Admirably full-tasting white beer that doesn't try to copy the Hoegaarden style. Nice looking beer.
Export - 4.5% alc/vol View Label

Comments - The red labelled bottles are unpasteurised and only available in the local
Tasting Notes - There is a nice creaminess to both the texture and taste and a strong hop character with a good hop bite
and bags of pale malt behind. Overall a very flavoursome lager.
Kochersberg - 4.6% alc/vol
Comments - Marque for supermarkets.
Kochersbier - 4.6% alc/vol

Tasting Notes - Amazing, unique aroma leads into an equally unusual palate. Strong hop characteristics and a tangy
toffee malt dominate. The bitter finish lasts as long as anything anywhere.
Meteor Pils - 5% alc/vol View Label

Comments - First brewed 1927. Surprisingly for a Pilsner it is unpasteurised. The crown cork is
covered by a plastic top that can be used to reseal the bottle once opened - excellent idea on large bottles.
Tasting Notes - Wonderful aroma leads you into an equally full and distinctive palate which continues into the finish.
Beautiful balance with a good complexity but simple enough on the quaffing level to make it easily accessible. An excellent Pilsner
which is on a very different plane to the others
Mortimor - 8% alc/vol View Label
5 Kb
Comments - Presented in a miniture whisky bottle (or full size when 75cl) and even served in a
miniture whisky glass.
Tasting Notes - An excellent whisky beer which has a very strong malt element to combat the whisky. Warming and
satisfying with a very rich, strongly alcoholic taste.
Pravda - 4.5% alc/vol
Comments - First brewed 1997. An Eastern beer. The label inscriptions are in cyrillic. Aimed
squarely at the "trendy young things" market. By the end of 1997 it was still very difficult to find in shops as the distribution was
concentrating on clubs and bars.
Tasting Notes - An interesting, if gimmicky, beer that keeps the beer character and is not oversweet as is typical of the
genre.
Wendelinus - 6.8% alc/vol
Comments - Abbaye style beer
Zorn Val - 2.8% alc/vol
Comments - The river Zorn runs through the area.
Zornbier - 4.6% alc/vol
Comments - Said brewed by L.Hertz-Metzger from Alsace on label.
