Alsatia - 4.7% alc/vol

Alsatia Bock - 3.7% alc/vol

Ambre des Flandres - 6.4% alc/vol View Label 9 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1992
Tasting Notes - Quite deep and interesting, moderately complex ale with an excellent smooth and creamy texture.

Belzebuth - 13% alc/vol View Label 7 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1997. Served in a 10cl flute which encourages sipping. Probably the best approach.
Tasting Notes - Not surprisingly for a 15% beer it is dominated by the alcohol. Behind this is a strong Barely Wine character and a full, very tangy, moderately fruity, amber malt. Drinking it is quite fun to start with but becomes hard

Bière Bock - 3.7% alc/vol

Bière Bock St-Jean - 3.7% alc/vol

Tasting Notes - JW: Pretty easy drinking with enough hop character to ensure you know you are drinking something meaningful. KR: An unpleasant huskiness and a watery character.

La Bière de Chartres

Comments - Distributed by Heineken. Sold to raise money for Chartres cathedral.

Bière de Mars Orpal - 5.5% alc/vol View Label 7 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1975.
Tasting Notes - A distinctive beer with a strong earthy character that makes it stand out from the other Bières de Mars. Has a good creamy texture in addition to the very strong hop character. Definitely an artisanal character.

Bière de Printemps - 6.5% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 2003.

Bière de Table - 2% alc/vol

Bière Luxe - 4.7% alc/vol

Cristalor - 4.7% alc/vol

Gold Triumph - 6% alc/vol View Label 9 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1984.
Tasting Notes - KR: Very surprisingly good summer refresher. A little shallow but the taste is enough to carry it through.

Grain d'Orge - 8% alc/vol View Label 11 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1993. Won USA Association of Brewers 1996 World Beer Cup for French style bière de garde.
Tasting Notes - A good malty beer that seems to be in the style of a Belgian Flemish amber ale. On older examples you need to get used to the alcohol before dicovering a quite deep and interesting character.

Grain d'Orge Blanche - 4.5% alc/vol

Grain d'Orge Cuvée 1898 - 8.5% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 2003. Recreating a recipe from 1898.

Latina - 6% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Artisans de la Bière. Flavoured with tequila.

Orpal - 5.2% alc/vol View Label 12 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1949.
Tasting Notes - JW: Full tangy pale malt soon overtaken by the hops which give it a distinct bitterness. KR: Pretty good, inoffensive beer which will impress with its exceptional softness and roundness. Unfortunately not particularly

Orpal 1ère - 6.5% alc/vol

Pilsor - 4.7% alc/vol View Label 6 Kb

Tasting Notes - JW: A surprisingly watery beer in spite of the slightly roasted dark malt and fruit that would suggest a much fuller body. KR: Just a sweet, sugary, nasty malt hint.

Pilsor Luxe

Pilsorbock

Samba - 6% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Artisans de la Bière. Flavoured with cachaça.

Scotch Triumph - 6% alc/vol View Label 8 Kb

Tasting Notes - JW: Mellow brown ale with some fruitiness and a slight sharp edge to lift it from being totally boring. KR: Though dark it is not a scotch and thankfully is not as sweet as many scotches. Doesn't quite deliver the expected fruity dark character.

Secret des Moines - 6.6% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 2002. An abbey style spiced beer, spiced with coriander and other secret spices.

Spécial Bock - 3.7% alc/vol

Spéciale Noël - 6.4% alc/vol View Label 9 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1975
Tasting Notes - JW: Nicely textured, rural, earthy beer. KR: A little one dimensional but that dimension was nice.

Super Alsatia - 4.7% alc/vol

Valenciennoise - 6% alc/vol

Comments - Distributed by Les Chais Bellaingeois, 59135 Bellaing
Tasting Notes - A well hopped blonde with the hop dominating the beer. Lifted and lightened by a pleasant lemon in the aroma and palate.
