La Bière des Volcans Blonde - 7% alc/vol View Label 14 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1995. The name relates to the distinctive feature of the region - the volcanos (thankfully, no longer active)
Tasting Notes - Highly original and strongly artisanal beer with good refreshing qualities. KR: A beer which is amazingly full in the mouth but has a great quenching quality and loads of interest. Commercially it’s a bit too adventurous for its own good but any adventurous beer drinker will find lots of interest.

La Bière des Volcans Brune - 9% alc/vol

Volcan Xmas

Tasting Notes - JW: Pleasantly complex, full but mellow fruity malt with bags of spice makes this most definitely a beer in the real Christmas spirit. KR: Mighty impressive palate is a big surprise after the nose but let down by the understated, short-lived finish. Great depth of character with a tart edge to the dried fruit and a warming glow in the palate that really needs to be carried over to the finish.
